Long Long week! 😩

Hello! Yes I know I haven’t posted in a while Your girl has been having a rough few days.

The week didn’t start that way you know. So first weekend in February My big sister (my best friend’s big sister is my sister😂 ok) invited me to her birthday weekend getaway in Limpopo. I was beyond excited I really needed to dance, I love dancing even when I know I can’t 😂.

I had bikinis I got a while back that I haven’t worn so this weekend was the weekend, I didn’t care if it rained bikini must be worn.

So finally it is Friday and I had to drive to the lodge. I had requested for a half day at work so I could leave earlier and not drive late. LOL the the forces or darkness at work not decide to book more patients than anticipated so long story short I could not leave early. Damn! This meant I have to drive late to a place I don’t know late! God of Nebuchadnezzar save me 😭😭😭.

I hit the road as soon as I left work. Yes, I packed my things already. First stop was petrol stations For a quick petrol refill, tyre, oil and water checks I was driving alone so I could not afford drama. I hit the road with some lovely music and was driving smoothly 🥳.

Drove for an hour thirty minutes then the rain decided to start😭😭😭. I began to panic, I couldn’t see well and the gps kept telling me to turn left till I got to a dead end. Eh! I was close to tears. It was dark and in the middle of nowhere.

I called big sis cause my friend was hungover 😒. She asked I call her partner who was in his way as well for directions. She shared her location as well. I typed in the name of the lodge again and drove while saying a silent prayer because it’s enjoyment I can’t here for o not death 💀.

I finally arrived at the Lodge happy thinking my struggle was over😂. It was still pouring heavily. Security guard was like “house 108, just turn left left then right” .If you know me you know I am beyond terrible with directions.I knew well I would get lost but I just went ahead.

Ah 😂😂😂 this is a resort type of place so jungle basically and I was seeing animals. All cute till I found myself lost again 😭. This weekend was beginning to feel like a bad idea. Me thinking a lion better not come at me. I have a terrible vivid imagination 😂.

I call big sis again almost in tears telling her I was lost and I can’t remember my way back to the gate. She got lost trying to find me till she said get yourself to the gate I will wait for you there. I took a chance and yay! I got there and finally got to my room 🥳😭😭. Now it’s time to party!

Had a shower and dolled up abit, the other guests were so lovely 🥰 and funny 😄. I love me some cool women ok!

But guess what I arrived at 8pm but I was asleep by 11pm because I was tired y’all don’t judge me 😂💀. I am overly hyper but when I am tired I do not hesitate to find a bed. It was a long dramatic drive to the venue I needed that sleep.

Saturday is here! Awake, kids fed and now it was time for city moms to party 🥳. We danced, ate, danced, drank, changed for late dinner and prayer, ate, drank, changed, swam in the cold pool and dance some more🥳. This was absolutely fun 🤩.

This was a lovely fun weekend and it was back to work on Monday but unfortunately I had the flu which just seemed to get worse, not fun and made this week super long and depressing. But I made it, weekend is finally here hopefully I rest….hopefully because I am terrible at resting.
